A frenzy of songs and costumes

Direct from shows in the lower North Island, DnD Showband is back on home soil with a double headline show! “ABBA & It's the 80s” at the Hornby Club, Christchurch on Saturday 5th April 2025.

"Wow, the North Island gigs were amazing. Great audiences and jam packed dance floors. We were spoilt! It's been a full on three weeks, but we're recharged and super excited our next gig is at the Hornby Club," said Jo, performer and band manager. "Hornby's show will be structured as two shows in one, so there will be a frenzy of songs and costume changes. What is our biggest problem? Having too many songs in our repertoire and having to whittle them down to fit into one night. But I'm pretty sure we have all the favourite's covered."

TRIBUTE TO ABBA – with Agnetha, Frida, Benny, Bjorn and of course Fernando – celebrates all the massive hits from 1974’s Waterloo through to 1980’s Super Trouper.

IT’S THE 80s – You’ll believe you’re back in the 80s when the live DnD RockBand pumps out everyone’s favourite classic 80s hits – Cyndi Lauper, Flock of Seagulls, Toto, Bon Jovi, Laura Brannigan, Kenny Loggins, Dragon, B52s, GunsNRoses, Bananarama, Pseudo Echo, to name a few – Cowabunga dudes – it’s going to be totally awesome!
